Powerful IPL technology
SmoothSkin Muse uses Intense Pulsed Light (IPL) technology, transferring light energy through the skin's surface with up to 100 flashes per minute. The hair shaft absorbs the light to stunt the follicle's natural hair cycle, preventing regrowth.

As hair grows in distinct phases and at different times, it's important to continue and top up your treatment plan until you reach the desired results. Start your treatment plan with the gentle mode, gradually increasing the intensity as feels comfortable to maximise your results.
What's the difference between SmoothSkin Gold and Muse?
The main difference between Smoothskin Muse and Gold is that the Muse has unlimited flashes, whereas the Gold is limited to 200,000 or 300,000 flashes (enough for up to 10 or 15 years worth of treatments respectively). The Muse is the upgraded model to the Gold, however, neither require the need for gel, meaning you can treat as and when you like without having to worry about expensive add ons. Both deliver a powerful, bespoke treatment so you can have silky smooth skin that lasts so long you'll never worry again worry about stubbly legs or prickly underarms.
Who Can Use SmoothSkin?
SmoothSkin is suitable for those with skin type I to V according to the Fitzpatrick Scale. It is not suitable for use on white, grey or red hair.
Since grey and white hair do not contain enough or any melanin, IPL treatment will never work on these hair colours. Red hair contains a different type of melanin, which is also not responsive to IPL.
SmoothSkin is also not suitable for dark skin tones, as it can cause skin damage such as burns, blisters or discolouring.

How to use:
1. Prep the area by completing a patch test and wax or epilate to ensure the skin is hair-free.
2. After 24 hours, make sure the skin is clean and dry.
3. Use SmoothSkin Muse to steadily glide over the treatment area for even coverage.
4. For best results, we recommend using every week for 12 weeks, with maintenance top-ups every 4 to 8 weeks after that.
Contraindications:
DO NOT USE SMOOTHSKIN MUSE if you have very dark skin. Very dark skin may absorb too much light energy and injure (e.g. burn, discolour or scar) your skin.
DO NOT USE SMOOTHSKIN MUSE if your skin has been artificially or naturally tanned recently. Your skin may be extra sensitive following sun exposure and particularly susceptible to side effects of IPL treatment (e.g. burn, blister, discolour or scar your skin). Also, avoid unprotected exposure to direct sunlight after your SMOOTHSKIN MUSE treatment. Your skin may be extra sensitive following IPL treatment and particularly susceptible to sunburn. Use a sunscreen (SPF 15 or greater) or cover the skin.
DO NOT USE SMOOTHSKIN MUSE directly on the nipples, genitals or around the anus. These areas may have a darker skin colour and/or greater hair density. Using the device in these areas may cause discomfort/pain or injure (burn, discolour or scar) your skin.
DO NOT USE SMOOTHSKIN MUSE if you have a history of skin cancer or pre-cancerous lesions (e.g. nevi or a large number of moles).
DO NOT USE SMOOTHSKIN MUSE if you have any of the following, as SMOOTHSKIN MUSE may injure your skin or make existing conditions worse. You may experience side effects such as burns, blisters and skin colour changes (hyper- or hypo-pigmentation) or scarring:
DO NOT USE SMOOTHSKIN MUSE if you have had a skin peel treatment on the area you wish to treat.
DO NOT USE SMOOTHSKIN MUSE if you are pregnant or lactating, as this device has not been tested with these individuals.
SMOOTHSKIN MUSE is not intended for use by persons with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities unless they have been given supervision or instruction concerning the safe and proper use of the device by a person responsible for their safety.
SMOOTHSKIN MUSE should be kept out of the reach of children under 16 years of age. Children should not use, play with, maintain or clean the device.
The SMOOTHSKIN MUSE Glass Filter is a critical component that will get hot during use.
DO NOT touch the Filter during or directly after use. Regularly inspect the Filter for damage.
DO NOT use SMOOTHSKIN MUSE if the Filter is cracked or missing.
